A refreshing and creamy iced latte combining smooth cold brew coffee with a warm cinnamon brown sugar syrup, perfect for summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold brew coffee, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons (28 g) brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon (2.6 g) ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk or milk alternative (whole milk, oat milk, or almond milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes, enough to fill the glass
  • Optional: whipped cream for topping
  • Optional: pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 cup (60 ml) water.
  2. Heat over low-medium flame, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Alternatively, heat in microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring in between.
  3. Remove from heat and let syrup cool to room temperature.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour 1 cup cold brew coffee over the ice, then stir in the cooled cinnamon brown sugar syrup until fully mixed.
  6. Slowly pour in 1/2 cup milk or milk alternative and add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir gently to combine.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice by adding more syrup or cinnamon if desired. Add a pinch of salt to balance flavors if preferred.
  8. Serve immediately. Optionally, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Notes

Cool the syrup before mixing with cold brew to avoid bitterness or separation. Use quality cold brew coffee for best flavor. Stir gently after adding milk to preserve creamy texture. Syrup can be made in advance and stored in the fridge up to one week.
