Easy Candy Corn Bark with White Chocolate and Pretzels

easy candy corn bark - featured image

This easy candy corn bark combines white chocolate, salty pretzels, and chewy candy corn for a sweet and salty Halloween treat that comes together in under 30 minutes with no baking required.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers (such as Ghirardelli or CandiQuik)
  • 8 to 10 pretzel rods (or mini twists/sticks)
  • 1 cup candy corn (regular or autumn blend)
  • Optional: flaky sea salt (like Maldon), orange sprinkles, chopped pecans, or dark chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Break pretzel rods into 2- to 3-inch pieces and spread in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between pieces.
  3. Place white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring well after each interval, until mostly melted (about 2 to 3 minutes total). Stir until smooth and glossy. If too thick, add 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening and stir.
  4. Pour melted white chocolate over the pretzel pieces, starting in the center. Use a rubber spatula to spread into an even layer, leaving some pretzel pieces exposed.
  5. While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle candy corn evenly over the top. Gently press candy corn into the chocolate with fingers or the back of a spoon. Add any optional toppings now.
  6. Refrigerate the baking sheet for 15 to 20 minutes until chocolate is completely firm. (Alternatively, freeze for 8 to 10 minutes.)
  7. Once set, remove from fridge and break into irregular pieces with your hands. Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled.

Notes

Don’t overheat white chocolate—melt at 50% power in short bursts. Use room temperature pretzels to prevent chocolate from seizing. Work quickly once chocolate is melted; you have about 2-3 minutes to add toppings. For cleaner breaks, let bark sit at room temperature for 5 minutes after chilling. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate in warm/humid conditions. Freeze for up to 3 months.
