These Easy Pigs in a Blanket with Honey Mustard are the perfect snack or appetizer, featuring flaky crescent rolls wrapped around smoky little sausages, baked to golden perfection, and served with a tangy-sweet honey mustard dip. Quick, simple, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 package (12-14 oz) little smoked sausages
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Pat the little smoked sausages dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  3. Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it along the perforated lines into 8 triangles.
  4. Place a triangle of dough with the wide end facing you. Place one sausage at the wide end and roll it up towards the point, tucking the tip underneath. Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining sausages and dough, leaving about an inch of space between each.
  5. Brush the top and sides of each wrapped sausage with melted butter.
  6. Sprinkle a generous pinch of everything bagel seasoning over each buttered roll.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the dough is puffed and deep golden brown.
  8. While baking, make the honey mustard dip: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, honey, and apple cider vinegar until smooth. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes. Serve warm with the honey mustard dip.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free crescent roll dough. The honey mustard dip can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to a week. To freeze unbaked pigs in a blanket, assemble without butter and seasoning, freeze solid, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake from frozen, adding 3-5 minutes to the baking time.
