A spicy and creamy buffalo chicken dip featuring bold blue cheese swirls, perfect for game day or late-night snacks. This easy recipe combines shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and a blend of cheeses for a crowd-pleasing dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (about 300 grams)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (225 grams)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (120 ml)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (120 ml)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (60 ml)
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles (about 75 grams)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (120 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the shredded chicken and buffalo sauce to the creamy mixture. Stir gently until the chicken is evenly coated.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, reserving about 1/4 cup (30 grams) for topping later.
  5. Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Scatter half of the blue cheese crumbles over the top of the dip.
  7. Take the remaining blue cheese crumbles and scatter them in small clusters over the surface. Using a butter knife or skewer, gently swirl the cheese into the top layer of the dip to create pockets of flavor.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved cheddar cheese evenly on top to form a golden crust.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and lightly golden.
  10. Remove from oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not over-swirl the blue cheese to maintain pockets of flavor. Let cream cheese soften fully before mixing to avoid lumps. For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes but watch carefully. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
